Tangent Cosine Sine Tutors

Tangent Cosine Sine Tutors Trigonometry is the branch of Mathematics and it involves the study of the measure of triangles, their angles and their sides. Trigonometry is based on six important trigonometric functions known as sine, cosine, tangent, cosecant, secant and cotangent of a particular angle. Sine, cosine and tangent of an angle are considered the 3 most basic trigonometric functions and the measure of the remaining 3 trigonometric functions can be derived from them. With the help of these trigonometric functions, we can find the measure of the sides and the angles of any given triangle. Example 1: Express sec()/ cosec() in terms of tangent of the angle, tan(). Given expression: sec()/ cosec() Now, secant of an angle, sec() can also be written as 1/ cos(). == sec() = 1/cos(). Similarly, cosec of an angle, cosec() can also be written as 1/sin(). == cosec() = 1/sin() Therefore, sec()/ cosec() = (1/cos())/ (1/sin()) Taking the reciprocal, we get: sin()/ cos() Now we know that, sin()/ cos() = tan(). Therefore, sec()/ cosec() = tan() Example 2: Simplify the given trigonometric expression [tan() * cot()]/ [cosec()] Given expression: [tan() * cot()]/ [cosec()] Now we know that tan() = sin()/ cos() Also, cot() = 1/tan() and therefore it can also be written as cot() = cos()/ sin(). And, cosec() = 1/sin() Substituting this, we get: [tan() * cot()]/ [cosec()] = [tan() * 1/tan()]/ [1/sin()] Hence this gives: 1/ [1/sin()] = sin() (By taking the reciprocal) Therefore, [tan() * cot()]/ [cosec()] = sin().

10 Quick Guitar Exercises for the Busy Musician

10 Quick Guitar Exercises for the Busy Musician Suzy S. Theres one truth you have to face as a musician: learning to play any instrument takes time.   Playing the guitar, as one example, requires time to build up your calluses, learn the guitar chords and strings, and work up to the dexterity needed to play certain songs.   If you have small hands, you may need to take some extra time to stretch your fingers or focus on specific guitar chords that give you trouble.   And of course, finding that perfect beginner guitar will take time, since there are so many options and personal preferences to consider. You will have to commit some time to really mastering your instrument, but dont let that stop you from learning!   Even if you only have ten minutes to get away from work, school or other responsibilities, that ten minutes can help!   The trick is to practice with purpose. Weve discussed effective practice here before setting specific goals, slowing down and using a metronome, and improving your sight-reading skills, for example.   Heck, you can even practice without your guitar, when youre out and about. So even on your busiest days, set aside that practice time.   And as you sit down, consider these 10 quick guitar exercises perfect for those short practice sessions, as suggested over on Fretterverse.com: 1. Chord Inversions Take one string group and one chord quality (m7, Maj7#5, etc.) and play all of the inversions for that chord in as many keys as you can on that string group. 2. Position Scales Pick a scale and play it in all 12 keys but only in one position. 3. Sweep Picking Control Choose an arpeggio and slowly work on keeping your picking hand consistent throughout the sweep so all of the notes are even in tempo and dynamics. 4. Intervals Pick a scale and play it in 3rds, 4ths, 5ths, or whatever interval you choose. 5. Sing and Play Sing a melody out loud, and then try to reproduce it on the guitar. Great ear training! 6. String Skipping Choose a simple major scale. Play every other note one or two octaves higher, which forces you to skip strings and concentrate on fingering and accurate picking. 7. Intonation Play a scale very slowly, and concentrate on getting your finger to nudge up against each fret every time. Make sure your pick strokes are clearly articulated and full. 8. Name That Note â€" Without looking, place your finger on any note on the fingerboard. Then look at the note and see how quickly you can identify the note name. 9. Commercial Jam If you happen to have the TV on while you are waiting around, you will inevitably hear music in the commercials or the show. Try playing along with it; learn the melody or figure out the chord progression and play along with it. 10. Name That Key Choose a key and name all of the notes. You can also do this with scales, modes, and chords. What other exercises do you practice when you only have a few spare minutes?   Share your tips with the TakeLessons community head on over to our Facebook page and leave a comment!

São Paulo Civil Police will also be on strike. Clique aqui para ver a imagem.  Você consegue identificar o erro?Neste caso, o uso da construção does not will está errado, o correto seria Brazil will not/wont host the World Cup in 2014.

Do ADHD Medications Lead To Addictions

Do ADHD Medications Lead To Addictions ADHD medication can be an important part of a comprehensive treatment plan for kids with ADHD. When a child or teen responds well to medication, the positive impact on almost every aspect of their life is profound. They do better in school, with friends, and at home, and their self-esteem often greatly improves. However, many parents are understandably reluctant to have their child take medication for ADHD. One of the biggest worries is that ADHD medication will lead to addiction down the line. Fortunately, theres been a great deal of research examining the effects of ADHD medication on future drug addiction. Numerous studies funded by the National Institute of Mental Health and the National Institute on Drug Abuse have found that ADHD treatment with stimulant medications does not lead to drug abuse during adolescence or adulthood. In fact, 11 studies showed either no increased risk or a decreased risk for substance use problems in individuals who were treated with stimulant medication. One study showed a slightly increased risk for later substance abuse only when ADHD medication was started earlier in childhood (although there are a number of additional factors that may have contributed to this finding beyond the use of ADHD medication). While research suggests that taking medication to treat ADHD in childhood or adolescence may protect against substance use problems during the teen and adult years, some studies suggest that treatment response to the medication may also be an important factor. Specifically, the kids and teens who had the best medication response (meaning their ADHD symptoms were well managed by their ADHD medication) are the least likely to go on to develop substance abuse problems. Overall, studies suggest that ADHD medication treatment may protect against later substance abuse especially when a child or teens ADHD symptoms are well managed by their medication. This finding is extremely important because teens and adults with ADHD (when compared to teens and adults without ADHD) are at higher risk for substance abuse problems overall. While the exact reasons for this risk are unknown, there are several factors that probably contribute. Specifically, the impulsivity associated with ADHD likely puts individuals at increased risk, as does higher rates of a family history of substance abuse, and the possibility that teens and adults whose mental health symptoms arent well managed with medication or behavioral treatment are essentially self-medicating with alcohol, marijuana, or illicit drugs at teens or adults. Effective treatment with ADHD medication is just one of the many routes parents can take to help protect their child from future substance use problems. Effective academic and social supports for kids with ADHD may buffer against future drug abuse, as can strong and supportive family relationships. So, if you are leery of having your child take ADHD medication, or if your child simply doesnt respond to or tolerate ADHD medication, then its especially important that they receive extra behavioral supports and treatment to help minimize the impact of their ADHD symptoms on their current functioning and future development.
